Over the years, this app has had its ups and downs concerning accessibility and navigability, and this time is no exception. First, there no longer seems to be a way to save an article for later reading. Because of that, a search function would be helpful; but, of course, I’m not finding that either. The only tabs now are “Latest”, “Weather” and “Watch”. If I’m in “latest”, and go into the menu, hitting such things as “Settings” or “Contact Us” takes me into “Weather”, as does “App Support” on the App Store info page for the app. This needs to be redesigned from the ground up, with accessibility and navigability in mind. It is terribly frustrating not to be able to save a story, or to search for a story that appeared a week ago in order to finish reading it.

The latest updates to the CBS42 weather app have turned a fairly functional app into a bloated waste of time. I would prefer to go back to the old app. Will be looking to replace it with another local weather app that sends real time alerts.

We had Tornado watch’s and warnings for my area, I didn’t get any notification on my phone, had the other apps went off

Not a fan of the new design. The headlines are impossible to read and the thumbnails are too small. Not a fan that your app sells my information to third parties by default. Shame on you.

It keeps me updated.

I love watching the news every day you get all of your happenings from every where every day and that’s great first thing in the morning

Live stream never work WiFi connection or network connected. So during a power outage this app is worthless... you’ll get repeated alert messages letting you know there is lightening in you area though

Where’s the updated order????

CBS42 are the most professional, on point with the news.. Morning news with Art and Nat. The evening news with Sherri , Jack and Ashley.. ROCk.. Ashley and Nat are don’t try to scare people when there is potential hazardous weather. The new time wait and get the FACTS before they report.. CBS42 is winner winner chicken dinner.. Please keep up the outstanding work..

Of all the apps I have downloaded, this one is the hardest to navigate. If you initiate a “notification”, it is almost impossible to locate the story. You have hidden the story somewhere deep inside of endless channels of the app. For example, your notification says “Click” to see Coach Saban give his weekly news conference. When you click, it takes to a screen with advertisements, then two options, News or Live. Click Live, and you get a blank screen, Click News, and you get this endless web of titled options that goes in different directions, none of which is the story you initially started to look for. All other local news apps, have easily navigable News Apps. When you get a Notification about news happening or story, you can click on the Notification, and it immediately takes you to the story, or video, or live stream. Why can’t yours do the same thing? In this day of incredible technology, endless Web services, and fierce competition, it just seems to me, you of all people should be a leader in them News and Entertainment Apps. Yet, you are dead last in the App category. Good luck with that!

42 and direct tv are NOT together!!!

Good news and information

When I get news alerts and tap to open, that story is nowhere to be found. It either opens to a video that has nothing to do with the alert or plays commercials for the Jim Burke automotive group and never opens the news alert.

42 CBS News gives excellent coverage to the Residents of Jefferson County and surrounding areas. 42 CBS News Provide what I consider to be action first alert news. Usually, their Competitors report the same news Long after the facts. Excellent News Coverage. Sherri Jackson and her team are simply the BEST. Dr.Mel C. I like the old app better

The only part of the app I use is the watch live feature, and I have to try it multiple times on each visit before that section will load properly.

This is a really bad way to advertise. The ads take over the site while I am ready the article. It only shows 2-3 sentences about the news item and won't give the entire article. Most times the ads will break into the text so nothing can be read. It needs a lot of revision. It's just terrible.

There's nothing wrong with the news app itself, but whereas other stations only send out maybe 3-4 notifications a day, this one does at least a dozen. Way too much. Having to delete it.

Often when I receive a notification for a breaking story and I follow the link.....the story is nowhere to be found. Very frustrating.

Since last update keeps force closing

Compared with other news organization apps, this one is extraordinarily slow, and that's with a 14 Mbps download speed. Needs to be reworked.

It's full of bugs. Stories won't load sometimes the app itself won't load. By far the worst news app in the Central Alabama area.

The app loads to pages of no news, EXACTLY what people look for in a news app.

After the update, no news at all! Great!

Fast to load news items with competitive content. And radar is decent and only lagged behind by 15 or less minutes. Still needs a little more work to make it perfect but this has now replaced all my other local news apps.

This is the best app for central Alabama news. Highly recommend over abc33/40 (no pictures) and fox6 (app will die).

So far, this ap has run flawlessly. Quick to load and update.

I've downloaded this app TWICE and now have deleted it twice. All the text shows up on the left side of the screen so you have to continually scroll down to read the article. Otherwise, I would have liked to have it.
